Laura Collier Belnap received her degrees from Utah State University and Western Governor’s University. She taught school in Logan, Utah and Loveland, Colorado where she was part of the state's math advisory committee and also established a school wide program for grouping students by ability, not age.

Laura helped establish online education in Davis district in 2002, working as the director of Utah Online Academies for three different school districts. She is currently the director   of Utah Online Schools which have over 1300 students and 40 teachers and staff.

She has served on several different nonprofit boards including athletic and technology boards. She received the Soccer Mom of the Nation Award in 2002. She received the “Innovation in Education Award” in 2012 at an international conference. She also received Utah Champions of School Choice Award for leadership and support for public schools in 2013.

She schooled her children at home for more than 14 years which changed her life and her relationship with her children. She also branched out and coached volleyball and basketball at the local junior high.

Laura is active in legislative, community and religious causes. She graduated from Bountiful High school and married her high school sweetheart Eric Belnap. Laura is the proud mother of six children who were raised in Davis County and also has 3 beautiful grandchildren.

She appreciates the opportunity that Washington County School District gives students in the state of Utah.

Annett Eiting graduated from Weber State before it was a university. She received her master’s degree in education from Utah State University. She taught junior high for twelve years; the subjects she taught were English, math, and physical education. While teaching public school, she coached basketball, volleyball and track. Her favorite sport to coach and play is volleyball. She has been working with our online school since 2002.

Mrs. Johnston began working for UOS when her first son was born! Now almost 12 years later she has 4 kids- 3 boys and 1 sweet girl. She loves working at UOS with all the teachers and staff who work so hard to make your experience awesome!

Mrs. Johnston grew up in grew up in a small town in Central Utah and worked on her Grandpa’s dairy farm as a child raising baby calves and moving sprinklers. She participated in several sports in high school and went on to earn her degree from Southern Utah University in Elementary Education in 2005. Mrs. Johnston will also be graduating soon with her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Western Governor’s University. She has worked in the Washington County School District since 2005 as a teacher in various grades K-8 and served as the Learning Coach for UOS.

Mrs. Johnston and her family enjoy fishing and a lot of time is spent waiting for the “big one” to bite. She loves to read during school breaks because once she starts she can’t stop and reads until the wee hours in the morning. Mrs. Johnston also loves to travel and visit new places, however, she also loves going home to where she grew up and spending time in the mountains.

Mrs. Best was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Orem and Cedar City, Utah. While growing up she learned to ride dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and horses. She moved to St. George, Utah in 2007, and now affectionately calls St. George her home.

Mrs. Best has taught school in the “brick and mortar” sector in Utah since graduating from Utah State University in 2004. Mrs. Best completed her Masters in Education from Southern Utah University in 2010 and went onto Western Governors University to earn her Administrative Endorsement in 2011.

Since 2004, she has been an active educator teaching in the Park City and Washington County School Districts before being named administrator for Utah Online High School in 2015. She loves the opportunities UOS-HS offers to students state-wide and is excited to play an active role in preparing students to be successful.

She and her husband, Ryan, have a little girl they love very much. In Mrs. Best’s spare time, she enjoys doing crafts, camping, going to the pool, reading, spending time with her family, and following her favorite baseball team the Red Sox!

Brooke Brown received her education from Brigham Young University. She has worked in various capacities within the Washington County School District including substituting in the classroom settings and in the district office. She has been with Utah Online School Utah since 2005 as the assistant to the director and has really enjoyed her involvement with the families and staff who work in this program.

Lyndsi Houskeeper is happy be a part of the Utah Online School administrative team as the middle school secretary. This will be her third year with Utah Online School, having previously worked as a high school mentor. She has also enjoyed leading the choir for our K-8 grade students! Before joining the wonderful team at Utah Online School, Lyndsi worked in the elementary school setting as a Fine Arts Teacher. Lyndsi wrote the school song for Riverside Elementary and also directed the Redhawk Choir at the steps of the Utah State Capitol Building as part of the centennial celebration.

Lyndsi is also a professional singer/songwriter as well as an inspirational speaker/performer. She finds great joy in sharing her music and in helping others realize their potential and find happiness in making positive choices. A native of St. George, Utah, Lyndsi was awarded as one of Washington County School District’s Outstanding Alumni in 2011, and named one of the Top 40 under 40 by St. George Magazine in 2015, having several top-selling inspirational albums.

Lyndsi is a graduate from Dixie State University and continues to further her education through Western Governors University. Lyndsi is grateful to share her knowledge and experience in working with the wonderful students at UOS! It is her goal to see students and families find joy and success through outstanding, individualized education! She and her husband, Darin, have been married for 20 years, and have three of the most beautiful, special children. As a family, they love to travel, dine out, swim, watch/play baseball, work hard, learn much, and make music.

Shauna Sparks is the secretary for UOHS. She graduated form Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She worked in research labs at ASU, NIH and PITT. She worked in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. She has been working for WCSD for the last 4 years.

She is married to Todd Sparks. they have three children; Megan, Cooper and Jacob. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, going to watch their sporting events,hiking, reading and going to Lake Powell where she and her husband grew up.

Barbara Andersen : Registrar

Barbara Andersen is the registrar for Utah Online High School. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Barbara has worked in Human Resources as well as Accounting positions throughout the years and for the last 3 years she has loved being the registrar for Utah Online High School. She and her husband, Glen, have three children: Vaughn, Ashton and Maile.  In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, run (or should I say jog), play tennis and spend time with her family.  Disneyland is definitely a family favorite.

Audra Robertson grew up in Southeastern Idaho, a few miles from the North Beach of Bear Lake.  Her family owned a cattle ranch where she learned the value of hard work. She received her education from Ricks College (BYU-Idaho) and also Bridgerland Technical College in Logan, Utah.  Audra has worked as an administrative assistant in the healthcare, engineering, and education fields and also several years as a medical transcriptionist for Intermountain Healthcare. She met her husband while attending school in Logan and they have 4 children as well as a son- and daughter-in-law.  In her spare time, Audra enjoys thrifting and repurposing items, cooking/baking, walking, reading, playing games, and spending time with her family.
