Erica May | MentorEmail: firstname.lastname@example.org | Phone: (435) 817-9389
My name is Erica May; I am 24 and work as a student mentor here at Utah Online
School. I am a single mother to a beautiful 3-year- old and I love living out here in St.
George, Utah (when it isn’t summer time).
Growing up, I moved frequently due to my father serving in the military. I often
wonder if this is a part of why I love change and travel so much. I am grateful for the
opportunities my childhood gave me to learn and appreciate differences in culture,
individuals and places. I have a great love for diversity, the beauty of the earth and
people in general. I went to Brigham Young University in Provo for three years,
before moving to St. George where I am now finishing my degree online.
I love this job and the opportunity it gives me to spend more time with my daughter
while finishing school online myself. The flexibility, encouragement and support
offered to students from all the staff here at Utah Online, is incredible. I am thankful
to be a part of this team and look forward to a great year!

Michelle Wood | MentorEmail: firstname.lastname@example.org | Phone: (385) 243-1928
Michelle Wood is a Mother/Mentor that has loved and encouraged children all of her adult life. She partnered with her husband in raising eight children who possess diverse personalities as well as their own ideas, objectives and goals for their life. They each had different styles of learning and processing where and how they fit into this world. She feels richer for having watched their enthusiastic, diligent ,resourceful and sometimes trying ways of accomplishing their goals. Because each child comes with their own ways to navigate this life, she understands the need to encourage and patiently guide growing minds through the young adult part of their lives. She loves helping children to recognize their gifts and talents and teaching them to capitalize on the attributes that they were given so that they can be successful in their pursuits.
This year Michelle will be working as a mentor and will have the chance to collaborate with teachers at Utah Online so that we can assist the students and help them succeed through the 2017-2018 school year. She is excited to get to know the young adults that she will be working with.
Michelle enjoys getting together with her husband, children and grandchildren as well as playing tennis, hand stitching, reading and bicycling. She has a soft spot for those who are less fortunate and has enjoyed working with Non Profit agencies that have the desire to care for others in the United States as well as other places in the world. Michelle is enthusiastic, compassionate, and truly loves people. She enjoys meeting new friends and helping others. She is looking forward to making new friends and assisting them in their educational endeavors. She believes in the Utah Online mission statement and is thrilled with the varieties of opportunities your child has to learn and grow as they are educated.
